November is the coldest winter month in Brittany — with highs of only 13°C (55°F), it holds little appeal for sun-seekers. Better travel in May, June, July, August, September, and October.
Temperatures reach a maximum of 13°C (55°F) during the day and drop to 7°C (45°F) at night — warm layers recommended. Peaks reach around 17°C (63°F), the coldest nights around 0°C (32°F). With 3 sunshine hours per day and 10 rain days (79 mm (3.1 in)), this is one of the cloudier months. At 13°C (55°F), the water is still quite cool in November — a wetsuit may be useful.
Pack warm clothing and sturdy footwear. Cool temperatures make hiking and cultural trips enjoyable — beaches are off the agenda.
Storms roll in from the Atlantic, waves crash against the rocks of the Pointe du Raz, and it rains on eight to ten days a month. Frost is rare, and daytime highs of 9 to 10°C (48 to 50°F) keep the coastal paths walkable. The crêperies are warm and the beaches empty.
