Travel season — mid-range prices, good availability.
November is one of the best travel months for Thailand (Koh Chang) — conditions are stable, temperatures reach 33°C (91°F), and outdoor activities are excellent.
Daytime highs reach 33°C (91°F) with a daily average of 29°C (84°F) — nights stay warm at 25°C (77°F). Peaks reach around 34°C (93°F), the coldest nights around 21°C (70°F). The sun shines an average of 8 hours per day; there are 8 rain days with 93 mm (3.7 in) total. The water is a warm 30°C (86°F) — perfect for snorkelling and swimming.
Pack light summer clothing, sunscreen, and swimwear — beach and water conditions in November are ideal.
The dry season turns Koh Chang into a postcard: the sky is blue, the air is clear and highs sit around 32°C (90°F). The sea is calm, the waterfalls still carry water and the beaches fill up. December in particular stays dry for a long time.
At the full moon of the twelfth lunar month, Thais float small banana-leaf rafts with candles and incense on the water to let go of misfortune. On Koh Chang the krathongs drift in the bays and canals.
