Travel season — mid-range prices, good availability.
November is among the best months in Mexico (Mexico City): only 3 rain days, 24°C (75°F) highs, and good sunshine make for ideal holiday conditions.
Daytime highs average 24°C (75°F), cooling to 6°C (43°F) at night (daily average: 15°C (59°F)). Peaks reach around 29°C (84°F), the coldest nights around 1°C (34°F). The sun shines an average of 9 hours per day; there are 3 rain days with 28 mm (1.1 in) total.
Summer clothing and a light jacket for evenings is enough. Conditions are ideal for excursions, hikes, and sightseeing.
The rains fade, the air clears, and in October the city starts preparing for Día de Muertos: marigolds, sugar skulls and altars fill squares and shop windows. Days are mild and dry, nights noticeably fresher. One of the most atmospheric times to be in the capital.
The city fills with altars and marigolds, and a large ofrenda stands on the Zócalo. Around these days a big parade runs from Chapultepec along Paseo de la Reforma to the Zócalo.
