Still off-season — flights and hotels significantly cheaper than in October.
September in Florida (Orlando) is generally manageable, but with 11 rain days it's not a reliably sunny month. Better conditions can be found in February, March, April, May, October, and November.
Daytime highs average 32°C (90°F), cooling to 24°C (75°F) at night (daily average: 27°C (81°F)). Peaks reach around 34°C (93°F), the coldest nights around 21°C (70°F). With 6 sunshine hours per day and 11 rain days (181 mm (7.1 in)), this is one of the cloudier months.
Sun protection, a hat, and plenty of water are essential at these temperatures. Plan activities for early morning or evening.
The weather follows a fixed rhythm: sun and heat in the morning, a powerful thunderstorm in the afternoon, steam in the air again by evening. Water parks and air-conditioned shows are the salvation now, and some days are washed out completely. In return the parks are often emptier outside the holiday weeks.
Market booths around EPCOT's lagoon serve small dishes and drinks from around the world, alongside concerts and cooking demonstrations. The festival runs during regular park hours at no extra admission charge; food and drink are paid for individually.
